Playing the hits while writing songs, traveling the whole country long, and POOLBOY.

Howdy, folks! Looks like we have an enormous fall ahead of us!

Poolboy just released their 7'', "Soda Kids" on bandcamp. Check it out at poolboy1.bandcamp.com. The record was recorded at Blackwatch Studios and engineered by Jarod Evans. Poolboy features Sean Barker and Michael Loveland from Norman garage pop project Early Beat and John Calvin as a three piece surf-punk power trio.

Besides playing around town with Poolboy, Addverse Effects, and Kyle Reid, John has been getting settled, albeit in a rapid haphazard way, to a new (temporary) home, writing songs and recording tapes to ready for his first full length LP. John has been in the laboratory, creating and concocting, finding time in odd little corners and cabinets. Keep your ears to the ground and your eyes to the skies.

(update message from john)

I would like to congragulate Blake Johnson and all the musicians contributed for putting together the Elliott Smith tribute at the Opolis and raising $500 for the Elliott Smith Memorial Fund Free Arts for Abused Children. It was a special night that I won't soon forget.

I will be recording a 4-track tape cover of Elliott Smith's "Happiness" for Blake and for the bandcamp. Look for it within the next couple weeks.

That's all for now, folks. Thanks a million.
