Happy to announce the upcoming full-length album release of "Far Cries and Close Calls" on September 23, 2016 via Horton Records in the US and Continental Road in Europe! John had the opportunity to work with some wonderful musicians from Tulsa and Nashville, including Megan Palmer on harmony and fiddle, Paddy Ryan on drums, Aaron Boehler on bass, and Cody Clinton on electric guitar. This record is the culmination of John's writing during the post-phase of Better Luck and his journeys that lead him across the states and sea, incorporating the last year of experience into what became FC&CC. Stay tuned here and on John's social media to see how you can help with the final release, including a full vinyl cut of the songs and a spread including all of the lyrics held within.

John will be performing at Woody Guthrie Festival in historic Okemah, OK again this year at the Brickstreet Tavern on July 16th at 2pm, sharing songs from his new record and weaving stories from his last tours.

In August, John will be heading out for a near month of touring in Alaska with Tennessee singer/songwriter, Nellie Clay. Here are his dates on the frontier:

-------------------------------------

8/4 - Trail Lake Lodge - Moose Pass, AK 8/5 - The Kingfisher - Cooper Landing, AK 8/7 - Salmon Fest - Ninilchik, AK 8/10 - Resurrection Bay - Seward, AK 8/12 - The Fairview - Talkeetna, AK 8/13 - The Blue Fox - Anchorage, AK 8/14 - Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge - Talkeetna, AK 8/17 - House Concert - Anchorage, AK 8/18 - On Air KNBA - Anchorage, AK 8/19 - Live @ 5/Out North - Anchorage, AK 8/20 - Gov't Peak Rec - Palmer, AK 8/20 - Taproot - Anchorage, AK 8/21 - Blueberry Festival - Girdwood, AK

-------------------------------------

Until then, keep your heads up and be kind to others. These are some tough times that we're going through and pointing fingers doesn't solve issues. Only by getting to the root of the problems can we keep them from growing. More updates coming soon.

I will not be able to make the Muscle Shoals, AL performance on May 20, because I have the opportunity to perform at Cain's Ballroom with an all-star band (including Pete Thomas, Danny Faragher, Fats Kaplin, Jimmy Karstein amongst others) and a group of excellent songwriters, singers, and musicians that include John Fullbright, John Moreland, Hanson, Elizabeth Cook, and many other folks of reputable talent.

I will be continuing the tour on the next night in Knoxville, TN. Here is the official poster for the Steve Ripley curated "On A Night Like This": Celebration of All Things Bob Dylan.

As the full length record is being mastered, a slew of other projects and tours are in the works, including another EP to be released this summer, and much studio session work. More updates to follow.
